Hello and welcome to my page. I am excited to work with you and your equine friends!
I pride myself as being an experienced horsewoman with substantial knowledge of equine care and science, including basic veterinary care, breeds, training, behavior, horse usability, showing, recreational riding, and management. I consider myself to be a life-long learner of equine industry knowledge, and will be earning my second Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Industry Management in Fall of 2024. My love for horses started by the time I could walk by constantly asking my parents to go outside to feed the horses. By 6 years old I was in lessons, and first walk/trot English show by 7 years old. At 12 years old, my grandfather bought my first horse, a registered yearling AQHA sorrel mare from Fresno State Quarter Horse Unit for $1,500 in 1998. While she was in training I continued my lessons and fell in love with reining and cutting horses. The lesson horse I credit this to was "Momma Socks"- 1985 Champion Cutting Horse of the Year owned by the trainer in Hanford, CA. Over the next 20 years my little sorrel mare "Little One" and I traveled Central California showing and riding high mountain trails. Today "Little One" is 27 years old and fully retired at my parents small ranch in Clovis, CA.
While in college, I spent several summers in the high mountain country working for D&F Pack Station and Shaver Stable. Some of my best memories on horseback are not in the show area, but being out of cell service and surrounded by nature, riding the windy trails of the Sierra Nevada's mountain range. During the winter months, I was employed by Beal's Quarter Horses in Clovis, CA. Mr. Beal was a multiple World Champion title holder in halter and pleasure horses through the 1980s and 90s. Mr. Beal began breeding, training, and showing rein working cow horses and cutters in the late 1990s/early 2000s. During my time with Beal's Quarter Horse I had the privilege of riding along side some of the top riders, trainers, and million dollar hall of famers such as John Ward and Ronnie Richards. I traveled with Mr. Beal to several shows acting as head groom and warm up rider. I also aided in selling several of his horses on commission. Mr. Beal was instrumental in providing a solid foundation in me of business sense and how to properly care and train show horses.
Some of my other equine experience includes equine program development and management. I developed and oversaw all aspects of a college horse program which ultimately evolved to 100 students enrolled per semester. I provided a much needed “hands-on” program for students. In addition, I supervised 11 student employees and volunteers providing care for 25 horses while working as an Adjunct Equine Science Instructor at Reedley College in Reedley, CA. Along with teaching duties, I was the head coach of the Varsity Women's Equestrian Team. In my four years at the college I coached and provided leadership for the intercollegiate competition team, teaching all aspects of horsemanship, riding techniques, discipline, safety, and sportsmanship.
During my time at Reedley College I perfected my lesson program and kids camp at my home and in 2013 opened CLM Farms. Within seven years it grew to one of the largest lesson program and kids horseback riding day camp in the Central Valley of California. Specializing in first time and beginner riders ages 5-14, myself and other employed instructors, gave lessons to an average of 45 students a week. Along with lessons, many of the horses in our program were utilized in weddings, photography, tv commercials, parades, public events, and in a feature film. Unfortunately, due to changes in the local government, the permit process to continue our business became unobtainable and we were forced to close in Spring of 2022.
Looking for greener pastures, my family and I moved to Southern Indiana and I took a job working as a Family Case Manager for the Indiana State Department of Child Services. Utilizing my first Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice I advocated for abused and neglected children for two years. I worked with families to achieve sobriety, stability, and reunification of children to their parents. I worked closely with law enforcement and the courts including testifying in court almost on a weekly basis. As emotionally rewarding as a career could be in social work, I resigned from the Department in Summer 2024 to regain focus on my love of the equine industry.
I look forward to working with all my fellow horse enthusiasts again!

My greatest accomplishment in life is my beautiful daughter, Alicia. Pictured here a few years ago with her horse Oden who was purchased for $200 after he had been abandoned at a boarding facility. At only five years old, Alicia rode him every day for six weeks straight during our first summer of horse camp in 2016. Due to this, they created an inseparable and trusted bond. Oden is now fully retired with Little One in Clovis, CA after being not only Alicia's trusty mount, but teaching 100s of children how to ride in lessons and two seasons being a dude string horse at Shaver Stable. Alicia is now in middle school earning nearly 4.0 GPA each semester and was credited for being an assistant wrangler on a feature film working beside me. Alicia is an inspiring actress and is looking forward to working more in the tv industry. She also wants to complete law school and become a judge one day.
Besides my daughter, other life accomplishments thus far have been the following:
Bachelor's of Science Degree in Equine Industry Management- Anticipated completion date Fall 2024
Completion of first year semester work at San Juaquin Valley College of Law 2019
Completion of continued education with Federal and California statutory and regulatory laws – 5 hour course 2018

Completion of Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration 2014

I am a money earning cutting horse riding winning in the ranch cutting division and won numerous awards and prizes showing at a local level throughout my 20+ years of showing
As far back as I can remember, horses were my favorite animal. Both my parents grew up with horses in Virginia. My father sold my mom her first horse while they were in high school. My mom showed her paint horse in local events and after moving to California she showed locally with her half-Arabian. Today, they reside in Clovis, CA where both my retired horses and breeding stallion, Command Your Color are housed.
I am currently working on equine appraisals, providing expert witness testimony, and teaching/coaching equine business owners out of my home in Southern Indiana with frequent trips to Central California throughout the year. However, appraisals and testimony can be completed nation wide. By Fall 2025, our ranch, Wild Cayuse Ranch, should be open to public in Northern Nevada.
I am currently a member in good standing the following associations:
American Society of Equine Appraisers
American Quarter Horse Association
American Paint Horse Association
National Reining Horse Association
National Rein Cow Horse Association
American Bar Association.- Expert Witness
